Rear view mirror anti-glare lever not working

Featured Replies

Hi, I've searched a bit and can't find anything

My rear view mirrors' lever for switching the mirror down a bit when someone is driving behind at night seems to be jammed or broken. I picked it up just a month ago second hand, it's 4 years old. Just wondering if there's anything I can do myself to fix it, is it possible to take it apart? I know how to take it off the windscreenm but don't see any screws on the back of it.

Not sure I could be bothered trying to get the dealer to fix something so trivial.

Thanks

Ken

Just get a new mirror from a dealer or a scrappy?

Yeah could do, but would have thought that it could be repaired fairly handily no? Just wondering if anyone had done so or seen a similar problem before.
