As per the title, just called my local dealer (DM Keith) and got numbers and prices, thought they might come in handy;

FILTERS

Air - 1J0129620 £12.75

Oil - 06A115561B £5

Fuel - 1J0201511A £7.42

Pollen - 1H0819644B £8.74

I also needed a front wheel bearing - 1J0498625 £43.78

ALL PRICES + VAT

The last thing was OIL - The Skoda dealer recommended 5w40 at £28.80+VAT

- Andrew Page (a local TPS) said 10w40 at 15.92+VAT

- Halfrauds 5w30 at £42

Would any of these oils do, as 10w40 is obviously looking the most appealing!?

Not knowing what grade your Octavia VRS engine takes compared to my Fabia VRS.

My diesel takes fully synthetic 5W 40, but could get by mistake mineral oil 5W 40.

Someone will be along soon that is more knowledgeable, about exact oil to be used.

call Sere Motors in N Ireland and you will get all that delivered to your door for less - also the pollen filter will be activated carbon one!

as for oil i'd get the 5w30 longlife 3 which is vw504 - simples!

Castrol edge sport 5w 30 is the one to have
