octavia 2 gearknob for fabia

Hi,

I have a stock fabia gear knob. It's that ugly cheap-rubber knob without any leather. I was wondering if an octavia 2 knob in leather will fit. I have experience with the gearstick assembly so I know how it is fitted but I don't know the dimesions of the octi 2 knob.

Has anyone tryied it? If not, can somebody with an octi 2 measure the surface of the leather bag in the mounting frame and also the height? I would not like a higher gear stick.
