changing int lights to leds?

Featured Replies

hi all

i looked at the rear courtesy light bulbs and dont recognize them , are they able to be changed for the leds

the fronts look to be normal i.e. a festoon and a pair of capless

has any one done this and where to go to get them, also does it make much difference?

i have a tdi tiptronic passat that im selling and have noticed the rear lights outside, when side and brake lights are on the look really nice on the passat and really illuminate well, but on the superb they look like there needs to be a bit more going on in there, i mean they look a bit flat and second rate compared to passats, are there any mods that can be done or other units to go in, its a 2005 car, its only my opinion and im a bit fussy/ or special..lol

This seller on ebay has replacement LED bulbs for interior and they work quite well.

Your bulbs are probably just old and have too much oxide build up on the contacts (especially if cheap bulbs) and inside the glass.

Get some qood quality replacements and you should see a big improvemement. LEDs are a definitive no-no on tail lights.
