Silver 52 Octavia VRS * SOLD *

Featured Replies

Reluctantly selling my Diamond Silver Mk1 VRS hatchback, this has been without a doubt the best car I have ever owned but due to moving closer to my job I can't justify owning a car at the moment. It's been with me to the Nurburgring, Scotland and back, Snowdonia twice and several Briskoda events at Castle Combe

and Gaydon. I'll be sorry to see it go :'(

Plus points:

Full service history (main dealer up to 2008 and VAG specialists in last two years) and a massive wad of receipts for every repair and modification

Briskoda member for the last 4 years

Cambelt and waterpump changes at 79,000 miles and 136,000 miles (end of last year)

Recent full service and 2 new front tyres

Tax til March 2012, MOT til November this year

Comes with modifications listed in my signature

Liquid Gauge fitted so you can check it for fault codes whenever you want

Interior still in very good condition

Still returns an average of 34mpg with mixed driving

Minus points:

139,000 miles on the clock (but still going strong)

Paintwork is a bit scratched and chipped in places but not too bad for the age and mileage

Spider alloys are all kerbed but could be replaced or refurbished.

The car has some modifications (see my signature), mainly to the suspension, I would recommend getting an insurance quote with the modifications before committing to buy.

I currently have a flatscreen headunit fitted with DVD player, SD card, bluetooth and TomTom installed but can remove this and re-fit the Symphony unit and 6 CD changer if required.

The asking price is £2300, but would take £2200 with the original stereo fitted back in.

Car is located in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. Please PM me if you're interested or have any more questions.

Your be sad to see it go as it's a nice car.

I know mate, if I could afford it I'd have another Skoda in a flash but at the moment having a place of my own again has to take priority over running a car :(

gutted mate, good luck with the sale  139k miles is nothing on one of these engines, I'd take a high mileage looked after car other a low mileage abused any day.

Hi,

i am very interested, but do you have an images of the car and the paintwork that you say is scratched.

Thanks

Nooooooooooo! Commiserations on the loss! Tis a sad day in the Octavia I section....

Set fire to some old MOT certificates, and scatter the ashes at sea. While softly chanting "You're free now Mk1 Octavia vRS, you're free....".

Congratulations on the sale though buddy!
