Hi everyone, names Tom and 20 years old. Looking to buy my first Octavia vRS very soon after the sale of my car. I have found a beautiful one in white for sale which I hope to own soon . Only thing is he seems to know what he is talking about in the add but then says its 4wd which I thought RS's were fwd???

Putting the number plate in on internet brings it up as a vRS not just a Octavia 4x4 but I don't really know.

Also any other advice with me being a Skoda newbie would be great.

'Component protection enabled' after Columbus MIB2 firmware update

Hi all, I've just updated my MIB2 Columbus from MHI2_ER_SKG11_K3330 to MHI2_ER_SKG11_K3343. The installation completed okay and shows the new version installed but it seems to have enabled component protection. Now the unit has had component protection disabled and SmartLink (AA) enabled before, my car is a 2014 Octavia so originally had a MIB1 in it. Would a firmware update have reset those?

Just wondering if the age of the car, and therefore the Infotainment unit, is a contributing factor when it comes to the current issues people are having when installing the latest v1989 software update? Is it worth commenting on here if you have had issues or not and what age your car is to try and see if there is a relationship between the age of the car and whether issues have arisen?

Hi, Have anyone retrofitted footwell leds to they'r Scalas ? Im looking for confirmation that I am reading this chart correctly : Do I hook up positive wire to "T73c" connectors pin "65" ? I got a set of 4 lights and harness from Aliexpress and also couple different brackets to try if I could also install these under front seats so they illuminate in the back aswell. And also does anyone know correct way to code these to work properly (Im using OBDEleven) ?

Hi folks, me again... Does anyone know if it's possible to remove the hinged moving section of the glove compartment from its outer enclosure without having to remove the entire glove compartment assembly from the dash? Something has 'escaped' over the back of the glove compartment and is trapped between the movable section and the outer enclosure with the result that it's preventing the glove compartment from opening fully, so I want to extricate the offending object before anything get
