Eibach Springs

Featured Replies

Hi, well i've got my new wheels on my car and its all pretty much sorted except that it probably needs lowered to make it look the best. i've got more important things i should be spending money on so i cant justify spending money on Coilovers so that leaves me with a set of Eibachs. Just really want to know what people think of them, how they affect the handling, ride etc.

thanks guys!

Makes cornering little flatter, little bumpier than before, which unsteadies the car if road is uneven, im guessing this is because the std dampener cannot fully damp the spring if its multiple bumps. It does not bottom out/crash anymore on pot-holes which is good (standard springs used to travel so much it hit the bumpstops when going over pot holes :S ). Mines on 48k? so I assume dampeners still have a good bit of life left. So hindsight I suppose its good.

If your doing it for looks, just wait till you can get coilovers IMO.

Matt

Ive got Eibachs on mine its well worth doing handels so much better now although you have to watch the speed bumps more as it sits lower but i always took it slow over them its a great additon to a RARB and strut brace handels like its rails now.

thanks for the replies guys, getting paid soon so might invest in some then!

Eibach springs cost around £150 on eBay and there's budget coilovers on eBay for £200.

Not that much difference in price for full set up or just springs.

Quality or budget? Decision is yours!! :)

ok, ive had a look on ebay at the cheaper coilovers, has anyone got the JOM ones?

I'm about to order them today. I've been keeping an eye on them for a while. Should be fine, hopefully.

There's Defo a few people on here with them.

I have (soon to be had) Eibach springs and Koni FSD shocks. Awesome combo.

Best of both. Handles and looks so much better and with the Koni's, the ride comfort is better than with standard setup.

Is costly though admittingly, my set are provisionally sold

i got them now ahmeed :p

A few members on here have JOM coilovers and the feedback seems to be pretty good.

I've got weitecs and can't fault them :)

Ive ran eibach springs in the past found it to be a most unpleasant ride. KW springs are worth a butchers mate, cant fault them, nice drops, cheaper and ALOT more comfortable

I ran eibach springs before coilovers and didn't notice any difference in ride quality over standard.

The only problem was that visually they didn't seem to make much difference - I felt that the car still sat far too high, so they lasted less than a month on the car before coilovers were fitted.

Love em.

For use with standard dampers there's not many better springs then the Eibach Pros.
