sub Remote Wire colour

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

i have a problem, i need to know what colour cable to attach my sub remote cable to , i tried to attach it to the black and blue wire ignition switch, my sub makes a constant sound, when i play music it stays the same.

i have bought a stereo which actually isnt a cd player, it just has an SD slot, AUX and usb connection. the factory wires connect into my stereo there were no extra wires that came with it???

HELP!! :)

Matt

head unit to amp remote wire was connected to solid blue wire coming out the connections that go to the head unit on the wifes clio i just stripped out last weekend ready for sale. When i installed it i had to remove a little of the sheath and then twist and tape the remote wire.

Hope this helps, but pretty sure there will be more knowledgable peeps on here who will correct me if im wrong.

Is it humming when the engine is on? If so I have the same problem!

alternatively, if you dont have a specific amp remote wire, you can wire it to the +ve feed on the head unit, not the memory feed as this is a constant 12v feed. this will mean the amp/sub will turn on and off with the ignition :)

hope this helps!

Look at my post for the wiring of a Fabia.....this is ISO and should apply to other VAG cars...read the notes for each pin tho', this should help you to identify the wires. B)

If it's humming...usually it needs connecting to an earth to ground it. B)
