The car has been parked up on the drive for 3 weeks flat and has not been driven. When I went for a spin today, there was a dodgy grinding noise coming from the wheels. Something to do with the break discs I suppose. Drove it for an hr, but the noise didnt go away :confused:

Give the brakes a good caning and the noise might go (probably caused by a bulid up of surface rust). If that fails, there's nothing for it but to get the braking surfaces cleaned (wheels off).

3 weeks with salt on discs will make them get a little nasty. Hopefully Phil's tips will do it.

Mine does that after about 24 hours of being stood still, brakes make a grinding noise (when applied). Usually goes away within a few miles.
