As a feature of my 2MB broadban i've been give unlimited dial up as well. I have opted to use this on my folks machine so they get free internet (aren't I nice )I have installed the crappy browser so I can get access (which it does) but I want to be able to use firefox.

Heres my problem:

If I try to create a manual connection vial the dial up wizard (windows 98), it does not authenticate on the password. I am confused as I am using the correct log in etc and the correct numbers. AOL live help are useless to them.

So has anyone any ideas????

You have to use the AOL client - it's due to the way it sets up various things...I won't got into detail, it's not that interesting...

That said...if you connect using the AOL client, you can then minimise that and use Firefox/Internet Explorer as per normal.
