I have an 04 plate VRS, the reversing lights and parking sensors (I guess both on same circuit) are not working. The fuses are ok and the reversing light switch is ok as we bypassed that but still no joy...

Is there anything else on the circuit?? any additional fuses apart from the one in the dash? any common place for wires to break??

Has a towbar been fitted? I am wondering if you might have water ingress into the loom where the towbar electrics have been fitted, which might have caused a few poor contacts/joints.

no to the towbar, had a check for that too

For the reversing light, quite a common fault is the wire from the gearbox to the sensor snapping.

well a bit more invesrtigating on this one today.....

feed from switch to the reversing lights is ok, sent 12v down there and they lit up

theres power at the fusebox and all relays are ok

theres no power to the reverse switch from the fusebox... checked as far back the wire I could before it disappeared under the battery.....

Is there any common places this wire breaks between the fusebox and switch???

new wire run toda from fusebox to the red wire on reversing switch... reversing lights and sensors now work... happy days
