PD130 Hi-Flow Boost Pipe

Featured Replies

Seems like a lot of money to me!

that looks exactly the same as the original one though. the pancake pipe runs from the intercooler at the bottom and surely that is just the same, maybe a little wider, cant see it making that much difference and its expensive

The vrs doesnt req. a pancake pipe only the mk4 golfs need em for whatever reason

I just replaced mine today, custom pipe made from turbo to intercooler plus a silicone hose to replace the oem one.

Much less restrictive, and nowhere near that price !

Any good johnny?

Even if it is less restritive. Will it actually make a difference? Probably not.

On a stage 2 vrs like johnnys it may brove to make upto 10bhp

On a pd160 cupra completely standard gains of 8bhp and 15lb-ft were seen by forge

A tip from someone who has seen a few done now, it's not a particularly good idea to remove the restrictor in the boost pipe straight off the turbo. The turbos are built with this in mind and we have seen some really nasty boost spikes on PDs that have had it removed to the point of damaging turbos.

Yes !

Much much smoother, and more importantly, cured my nasty boost leak !! :)

Ali said that too when I replaced my standard one!

As ross said not a good idea
