Fiscon Handsfree lost after service

Featured Replies

I had my octavia serviced last week and after them updating the steering colum software i cant access my Fiscon handsfree system. I was wandering if anyone else has had this problem?

When i first had it installed i could see the kufatec system on the touchscreen and i just needed to get it coded to access it on the maxidot but now i cant see it on either.

Do u think it just needs re-coding?

Help would be appreciated

As you say if it just needed recoding I'd expect it to still work on the Bolero...I've just been looking on the Fiscon-mobile site and found this paragraph:

Update of the vehicle compatibility firmware:

An update is rarely required, normally only after a manufacturer makes changes to the vehicle electronics. The firmware can also be updated when new features are added which are not specific to your cellphone. To obtain this update, it is necessary to remove and send the interface (without cables) to our support group. For a small fee of 20€ (plus return shipping costs), we can upgrade your FISCON handsfree if it was bought directly from our company.

Not much use if you didn't buy it from Kufatec direct but does suggest that the symptoms you're experiencing can occur following a manufacturer-based change...

Thanks for the help. I will try the re-coding first and see if that helps
