Decent aerial for DX'ing (long distance radio receiving)

Featured Replies

Thought I'd share this with fellow Felicia owners... If listening to the radio is one of the most important addons to your journey (it is mine!) then this aerial might be of interest: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200594798276#ht_589wt_905 - 84cm aerial

It's a little bit on the pricey side compared to standard aerials - £13 as opposed to £3 - (which are around 40cm) but if you like a spot of "DX'ing" on your journeys it's well worth the extra few quid. It's a standard 5mm screw fit so no adapters required, just screw into your standard base.

I'm now pulling in RDS on stations far and wide which wasn't possibly with the factory aerial. I've got a cheap Tevion FM/AM/LW/CD/SD/USB/AUX stereo I got 2 years ago for ~£30 from Aldi which has a very good selective tuner.

It's flexible so it won't come off going through a low carpark barrier either!

Hope that helps someone.

:)
