skoda treatment

Featured Replies

I was just down at matchams madness. It's a place where the local pikeys meet up to show off some terribly modified cars.

As I was driving off I heard... Haha skoda! And got the ****** sign. I didn't realise skodas got that sort of treatment. Not a car to be jealous of and not a car that shows off so didn't get the hostiltey towards it.

Anyone else experienced that?

Yep. It's normally who spend a shed load of money on a VW or Audi and then get jealous that you have a better car and it cost you less.

The only way they can channel their jealousy is by being immature and insulting you. :D

I really hate ****s that get on like that. AS rk696 said, they're just jealous.

Never had it before, only ever compliments.

No problems at 'One Nation' Northampton meets. if anything get respect.

Serves you right for going there :p

Sounds like my idea of a bad night out tbh

Maybe more hope for the next generation. We had a loan Renault Scenic over a couple of days while the Skoda went into the bodyshop for a bit of work. Our 9 year old was embarrassed by it - said he'd rather walk to school. Thinks the Skoda's cool! (I thought he was being a bit harsh - I liked our RX4 of old)

I had my first volvo at 20, you get some really funny looks taking a s40 to one of them meets, not really taken Skoda to one but ive noticed i dont tend to get every boy racer and his dog trying to race me off lights like i did in volvo altho my s40 was faster than vrs

Wouldn't really bother me too much. Sticks and stones etc. I'm used to being called a wa**er anyway, my mates make sure I don't get ideas above my station.

It's interesting that there are people out there who still think like that, but each to their own. I think the same whenever I see a chavved up Corsa or Clio, I just have the self restraint not to give them the old Gareth Hunt Nescafe hand signal.

Mind you, they're too young to know about that anyway.
