Picked SWMBO's new car up on Saturday, the only problem is the colour she picked.

1.2 TSI 105 DSG Elegance with heated seats (boy they get hot FAST), GSMII, Cornering fogs, headlight washers and multifunction steering wheel. Dealer gave us a full size spare, boot liner, Auto Glym Lifeshine and mud flaps when I started to wonder aloud if I could afford the payments.

We ordered second week of December and could have picked it up Wednesday last week if we had taken a day off work. Nice surprise on collection was that the dealer had added 3 years free servicing to the deal when he refreshed the finance quote last week. We got the full 20% vat deal as well since we ordered last year. Payments are less than quoted on order, mainly due to paying an extra 5 months on the old car since then.

Took it for a trip up to Alton Towers Sunday and have to say it runs like a dream with much less engine noise than her old 1.4 and much more power, even with taking it easy on the new engine.

The dealer is Progress in Letchworth. This is the third car we've got from them and they've had all the servicing on those plus my old Superb 1 company car and the Octy I got on changing jobs. So you could say they've got a good customer :yes:

Not very busy at all. It made a great 'test drive' with the long motorway cruise and all those twisty bits at the end. I just wished the car was fully run in and I could have had a better 'play'.

Haha! I remember all those "twist bits at the end"! I drove down from Aberdeen, was helluva drive! Got to that last bit and could have sworn we were lost!
