Good price for the work ?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Trying to get the car looking good for the summer months so decided to get a quote from the local body shop.

Take off old bumpers (front & back), replace with my newer, still second hand though lol, ones

Straighten drivers side wing

Paint drivers side wing

Paint spoiler

Total: £350 ~ roughly (proper quote will be here within 48 hours)

Does this seem about right ? Not sure how many hours labour the above is but seems a little high ? Before going I have a figure of about £250 but that was based on very little.

The place usually deals with insurance claims so I expect the work will be good but even still ... not sure if its good value.

Any ideas ?

Cheers,

Joel

To be honest that doesn't sound too bad based on what you've listed.

How much does the wing need straightening?

Personally, I think it's a tad high

Small update:-

Managing to get the wing sorted for £50 and both bumpers fitted for £50 too. Quite a nice saving there

Now just need to sort out the spoiler. Thinking of getting it wrapped for around £40, just need to decide if I keep stock colour or go for the carbon look, will be a black car.

If anyone needs a front or rear bumper in the next month let me know. Both require work, was quoted £100 to get the front one painted / blended.
