Featured Replies

hi guys need some help?? anybody know if a strut brace will fit straight on my oct vrs or need tochange anything cus looks like the room is limited and also need to know where i can get cheap cam belt and water pump any suggestions??

Get an Audi S3 strut brace. Fits right on, but you need to drill the bolt holes.

As for the cambelt, do you mean parts only or fitted?

Yea mate the S£ brace and some M8 bolts and nyloc nuts works a treat. you might want to either remove the engince cover or trim the CV dome as it rubs on it.

car done 93k but have very little history on it so thought i would get them done just to besafe , what do u think?

93k is definitely time for a change if it's never been done, or you don't know.

Official Skoda interval used to be 120k, but it has since been reduced to 60k or 4 years.

Try Dave Hawthrone at Sere Motors in Northern ireland. He can usually get you genuine parts delivered than most local places can do.

Sounds like a plan, I would also consider changing the belt tensioner as if that goes its as bad as the belt going. Don't want it going boom boom pow do you ;)

Personally I would use genuine parts only for the belt area.
