New(ish) car

Having had my Yeti for two weeks I thought it was about time I posted some photos of it together with my opinion.

The car really impresses me with it build quality, refinement and equipment levels. Its a bit of a cliche but having had many cars both new and secondhand over the years, it is difficult to think of one that betters my Yeti. Any concerns I had during the the long six month wait of going to the somewhat miniscule 1.2 TSi have very quickly been dispelled. It simply amazes me with its performance and torque, especially considering the non aerodynamic bulk it has to cope with, quite an amazing refined little unit. The DSG linked to it is for me is the icing on the cake, it suits that engine to a tee.

So as you can see, I do quite like it :giggle:

Looks Brilliant

I am a fan of the silver roof rails

Looks very smart :) guess your rather chuffed then :D

TP.

The silver rails are especially well suited to the Aqua Blue IMO (non biased of course) :giggle:

Oh, you guessed then :D

I meant to add on the refinement front how much quieter any road noise intrusion is on the Yeti shod 17" Dunlop Sports compared to my ex Octy's 16" Good Year's. Never really took that much notice of it until the Yeti's appearance.

Had Goodyear Excellance on the last Yeti in the same 17" size, not overly impressed, the new one has the 16" alloys with Conti PremiumContact2, which appear OK so far. This however I find surprising as my wifes previous Corsa CDTI and her current Fabia II had/have this same tyre and there noisy and lack grip in cold weather. Can only think its the lower profile used on her cars :wonder:

Noticed that they appear to solely fit the Dunlop's now to the 17" alloys, originally you might have had Goodyear's of Pirelli's as alternatives.

TP

Brill, a little hi-jack here, but I find the Goodyear Excellence extremely noisy, good to know it is the tyres and not the car then!
