Lowering

Featured Replies

thinking of lowering my vrs but nort to sure how low to go

dont want the bumper catching on speed bumps

Anyone lowered theyre and found it ok?

cheers

Weitech shocks and springs are a popular choice and within budget of most. Can also be adjusted for height and on the medium setting they cause me no problems at all, although i do not drive quickly over speed bumps, as otherwise i'm sure it would.

To be honest most set ups lower 35mm and most coilovers go from 35mm to say 50mm

Ive got my car on coilovers and its as high as itll go on the rear adjusters and the front set to match the rear and to be fair its about as low as youd want it.

Other wise yourll be catching your sump and from skirt on things

As mentioned the Weitec coilovers are a good option and have the advantage of being able to adjust the height to suit.

Here's mine...

I have since taken the splitter off (well the road took it off).

It doesn't scrape as much without the splitter but some speed bumps are just a pain in the neck.

tbh I don't know how much lower but it is at a comfortable height.

I live in speed bump/pothole central and it is still a comfortable drive.

If someone could measure standard vRS height I could find out :)
