columbus and bolero

Featured Replies

Hi I just got a Skoda Octavia MKII FL here in India....this comes with a factory fitted swing radio, I am planning to buy a columbus from ebay and fit it to my car. Had a couple of questions:

1) Will the colombus fit into the new FL octavia? Cos the one Im getting on ebay is 2009

2) Also the system fitted in the top end Octavia in India is called the Bolero. What is the difference between the bolero and columbus?

3) Would I need new wiring or the same wires from the OEM Swing radio in my car can be used? Would the car have a harness already in it to plug into the columbus?

Thanks

Also would the rear parking sensors still work......and is there any way I can add the front parking sensors also.

Is the columbus compatible with a reversing camera?

Is the bolero compatible with a reversing camera?

bump

Bolero has an inbuilt 6 CD changer

Columbus has Sat Nav, a single CD/DVD slot and a hard drive which is used for the maps etc and also for storing MP3s (and/or unprotectoed WMA files)

The columbus should work with a reversing camera as it has video in capabilities (may need extra hardware) but I don't think the Bolero can handle this.

Both work fine with the factory fitted parking sensors for the display (and also the climatronic information)

Can't help on the harness, but the Bolero and Columbus both use the same harness so I wouldn't be surprised if the Swing one worked too
