My local VAG specialist is changing my front wishbone rear bushes for me next week. They are very good, and have a lot of recommendations locally. Anyway, when I said I wanted the cupra items instead of the standard replacements - they said fine, but suggested I supply as I work opposite TPS and have the part number. They seemed to suggest they would be around £60.

I have just been across to TPS and they were only £11 each. Now I definitely have the right ones, I have double and triple-checked the part number.

Any ideas why the garage suggested the parts would be more? Have I missed something else I should've bought?

I bet they were thinking of a new wishbone complete with the bushes, rather than just the bushes on their own.

Yup new bushes are cheap as chips

Ta for the replies. Managed to get hold of the garage, he said he was probably just thinking of the bushes from something else. Should be all sorted next week!
