engine noisey

Featured Replies

hi all i have a 2007 superb 1.9d on tick over is very noisey sounds like air box is open but it is fine if any one has any suggestions that would be great thanks.

Check the trunking that goes onto the airbox (the bit that comes from the slam panel, these wear very quickly and consequently make a bit of induction noise and can also rattle.

Remove the trunking and place a thick bead of silicone sealant (bathroom sealant) around the joining surface and replace

Get a new one, sealing it is messy and not always successful.

Sounds like the exhaust has a hole in it?
