can anyone let me know if their nokia phone plays music via the aux socket, i have a nokia N8 phone but my bolero radio doesnt seem to recognise when its plugged in via aux cable.

AFAIK Via the Aux socket you will not be able to control the music. If you set an audio track playing than it will play via car speakers

at the moment it wont even do that, i cant select the aux option on the stereo.

It might be that the N8 doesn't have a strong AUX output. On the Bolero (and COlumbus) there is an AUX setting with 3 levels on it (IIRC).

Might be worth playing with the settings and changing the AUX input settings to see if that helps...

Mine phone works fine its a nokia 5800 express music. I think you can sort it out by going into setup and switching on aux by ticking box then ajust the aux in volume. Good luck can you post back if it works because I'm due an upgrade and was thinking N8 as a new phone.

Not sure if it helps mate but the nokia n8, has a built in fm transmiter, i have one, the sound quality is brilliant, good enough that i haven't bothered with a cable
