removing reg plates

Featured Replies

Help ! i need to remove my reg plates and replace them with new ones but the current ones are stuck on with the sticky pads and don't seem to want to shift. i fear damaging the bumper if i excert too much force. Anyone know of a trick to get them off without breaking the old plates or damaging the bumper.........all suggestions greatfully received. ta. :o

Try feeding a piece of fishing line behind the numberplate and then 'saw' through the fixing pads. Dental floss works well on bodywork badges and might be suitable too.

Try warming up the plate with a hair dryer. You'll need to get it pretty hot and the tape goes soft
