I currently have a Mk 2 54 plate 2.0 tdi ambient and want to upgrade my suspension to a VRS set up. I have the option of buying a full set of shocks and springs removed from a 2010 Octavia VRS with low mileage.

Can anybody tell me if these will be a straight swap/fit as I understand that there are 2 strut sizes 50 mm and 55 mm? or is this not a problem as both the springs and shocks will be replaced.

Not sure if the will fit but the Tdi engine will be heavier than the Tsi engine so it might not sit right or handle properly.

Sorry my mistake in the first place for not adding what type of car the suspension was coming from.

The springs & shocks are from oobster and he has a petrol vrs. He has replaced his suspension and had his old set in the for sale section for a while and I thought that they might be a good replacement for the tired set I have on my diesel.
