Parents picked up Yeti!

Featured Replies

And I picked up my Fabia vRS Estate! :)

Both ordered on the 26th March and picked up on 10th June - 11 weeks from order to delivery :D

Not the best of pictures, forgot my camera so had to use the phone camera! Odd weather, was raining on and off during paper signing and the drive home but never dulled the moment!

Will get it cleaned, superguarded and better pictures next weekend. My Dad took me out in his Yeti on Saturday, lovely smooth ride and the change up/down indicators are quite a nice touch! Alot more comfy than the vRS but then I expected that! Neighbours curtains twitching even though I no longer live at home (they've seen a 1992 Merc 190E which i've been borrowing for 2 weeks so guessed that was mine :) lol) and then took Dad out in mine. He loved the DSG and was impressed with the power of mine :)

Build quality in both has come on so much, even though we both owned Skoda's before!

Look forward to driving mine about normally from monday as work etc. This weekend had just been a chance to show it off before we're back to normality!

Would also like to say the dealer was faultless, apart from maybe not keeping me updated as much as I would have liked - i'm an impatient buggar sometimes!

Nice photos there Ad Lav.

They are rather nice cars aren't they?? emoticon-0102-bigsmile.gif

Hell yes!

I am so pleased with mine, and having spoken to Dad non-stop over the weekend about both cars I can safely say he is very happy with his purchase! The higher driving position suits his frame better, no more back ache - he is over 6' 6'' and a big stocky build so needs a comfy car with space behind him for passengers etc.

Parents had a 2.0 TDI PD Octavia Elegance Estate previously and part ex'd it for the Yeti. They are happy with the transition from Diesel to Petrol, depsite it giving 25-30mpg at the moment during the running in period. This will improve with mileage, as will mine.

I had a MK1 Fabia vRS and it made sense to get the MK2. I don't need an Estate yet, but thought why not as its more practical and I may need the extra space next year :)

You lucky fella, 2 awesome skodas!.

I wonder if buying the Yeti 1.8tsi would be easier than the other models, i think everybody thats waiting is buying the diesels :wonder:

We think there was a cancelled order as Dad's Yeti was originally week 27 then got moved to week 20 - the same as my vRS and satyed that way.

Can't believe they got made, transported and delivered on the same boat, transporter etc :) Unless some chap at the Skoda factory noticed the same surname and dealer and though 'hey, lets build these two together' :D

Very nice looking cars. Funny, as I so nearly put in an order for a White fabia vrs estate when they were on the 'no vat' offer. They look great imo, especially with the post wk 22 black pack. B) Enjoy them. :)

lol, how odd seeing as you have the same Yeti now :)

Not so keen on the Black Pack lights but the grill is easily retro-fitted. As for the new badges/aerial I could do that too...

Yes, our two driveways would have looked very similar indeed! B)

11 weeks for both!!! Wow. So many factors involved in there and you got them together. Wow. Tres joy. Enjoy both!

Cheers for the comments! :)

Interesting that you have the Fabia and your parents have the Yeti. It's the other way round here, my dad picked up his Fabia estate in January (not the VRS, just a small diesel) within a week of me acquiring the Yeti.

Its probably because i'm 27 and wanted something fast yet practical and dad is 53 and needs to get to the allotment! :)

Ah, well that explains it ... for me (55) the Yeti is fast and practical, and my dad (75) needs to collect his pension!;)
