Dx navi info on board comp

Featured Replies

Will skoda navi dx(retrofited) information would be visible on TACHO CLUSTER from elegance model wich I want to bild in my classic skoda superb?

mine shows on the unit itself and on then basic displays between speedo and rev counter.

Surely there will be extra wiring required to get this working tho wouldnt it???

I know that but you have elegance model. And my superb(classic) didnt have dx navi, but I bought skoda dx navi system and fit into my car.Now I can't see navi information on that basic display between speedo and rev counter. And that is pretty ugly.I have found elegance superb tacho for 200 euro but I'm not sure will it show navi info on that basic display! Can you confirm that it can rely work, because I dont want to throw 200 euros.

Do I need some extra job to do,or just wired, and what???Pls help me. ;)

And can I buy tacho from model 2005,or I must buy tacho model from 2003 like mine?

I dont think it just a case of fitting a new cluster surely there must be wiring to be done, probably be work to be done on vagcom to cluster.

Plus on elegance that same spot also shows radio station/cd number track, MPG, average MPG, elapsed traveling time, and the function to turn sat nav off and on and so on these are all controlled by the rocker switch on the end of the wiper stalk if you havnt got this then you may need to do this aswell.

It sounds like alot of work which may or may not work.

The question is it really worth all the effort?!?!?!

this is all specualtion I may be way off mark these are just my thoughts which have appeared on screen.

I think the dash display is fed from the TMC box which is standard on the Elegance, so you would need to get one of these, too. I would double check on vwnavi.com
