PLEASE CAN ANYBODY HELP B)

YESTERDAY I TOOK OUR 2011 FACELIFT 1.4TSI DSG OCTAVIA ELEGANCE TO OUR LOCAL DEALER TO HAVE A NEW BOLERO RADIO FITTED UNDER WARRENTY, WHILE THERE I ENQUIRED ABOUT HAVING LIGHT ASSISTANCE FITTED, I WAS TOLD THIS GOOD NOT BE DONE AS IT IS ONLY A FACTORY OPTION AND THE REQUIRED WIREING LOOM WOULD BE MISSING, ON OUR CAR WE HAVE FULL MAXI-DOT RAIN SENSOR ON MIRROR FULL MFSW + PADDLES, SO IS THE DEALER RIGHT?

I just swapped the lightswitch on my octy facelift, and used vagcom.

It is retro-fittable as far as I am aware - you need the new light switch, a bit of coding with VCDS and maybe an extra wire running to the light switch, but don't quote me on that!

As above, 1 wire (but it may already be there) 1 light switch and then coded. The maxi dot can then control coming home, leaving home etc.

I did mine and the hardest bit was running the wire into the main box, bit of a pain because the main electrical box is under the steering column and it's tight in there.

The Elegance should have the light sensor as well as the rain sensor. I did my pre-FL (switch and wire) and had it coded in VCDS. Didn't take long to do.
