no problem with stalling mate just takes ages to start when from stone cold

Temp sensor has gone!

It's a little sensor that lives along the top hose from the radiator! I'll try and find a suitable pic!

£30 from Skoda, 30 second job!

is it poss to change this without needing a dealer ?

Do you mean to put It on the computer if so then no you don't need to . It's amatter of case of just changing it . I brought mine from the dealer . Cost about £13

You can check if it is the throttle coolant sensor with vagcom. If you look at Measuring block 004, it will show you what the air temp sensor, and in fact, the coolant sensor, are reading. Obvioulsy if one of them is showing a value which is miles out, change the relevant sensor.
