Hello all, just signed up on your boards cos of the fact that you dont care what car people drive so long as they're nice people and also love Skodas.

I am a student and was fortunate enough to pick up a nice toyota for free last summer, so its gonna be a few years til i gets my moneys worth out of this sucka and am in the market for a rapid cruiser such as a Superb or an Octy! but who knows what will be on the cards in years to come!

I've always loved cars, in fact my mum once asked me, in utter desperation cos i was an awkward child, "when are you going to join the human race?!" to which i replied "in a red car". I think it was a mini i had in mind, which was my third word after 'mummy' and 'daddy'! all three of which are still in heavy rotation to this day.

Have been into cars all my life, and learnt to drive by watching my dad from the backseat, hence i found myself takin it sideways on a deserted Oulton Park gravel track last weekend - did anyone else know that it's deserted on weekdays with no barriers denying access to the inner sanctums?

Ultimately i would settle for a TVR Cerbera 4.5 V8 Red Rose Edition, in fact even a trip round the block in one would be reet let alone owning one!

I look forward to listening and learning to you all and hopefully contributing as much as i can!

Cheers,

Peter.

Turns out my good friend DJ NeverReady's car he just bought and razzed me around in last week is red soooo... :D

Also my first car was a red cavalier in fasionable rusted wing and sills shades.

btw does DJ get 50 quid for referring me to you guys?! ;)

Welcome to briskoda.

thanks for the warm welcomes guys, i didnt have so much of a lovely reception at the forums more relevant to my car!

In any case Skodas are more interesting than toyotas!

Thanks again, should be fun!

Hello and Welcome.

Toyota's are very well engineered. Only last week a friend of mine purchased a 1992 3.0 litre twin turbo automatic Supra, i have never seen him smile so much. Up until then i was pleased at getting 140+bhp out of my 110 Octy, but then he filled me in on the available 326bhp his car puts out. And then he rubbed my nose in it even further by telling me about something called an overdrive switch which sits under the accelerator. Apparently once the pedal touches it, it goes into kickdown and fires up both turbos. (so he says)

Im going back to my bedroom to cry now :cussing:

Yes, i'm looking forward to a few more years of the engineering reputation holding its own cos i can't afford anything to go wrong!

Your friend is a lucky fella! the bi-turbo is the only Supra to go for really innit? And the only one guaranteed to not have hubcaps fitted! :D

326bhp is obscene, it's a good thing the supra is as obscene looking to live up to the power! top motor that one!

Mine is a '92 and feels like a supercar to me! but that would be to do with all the previous cars ive had experience with! :P

Welcome on board - we like enthusiasm!! :D
