Bluetooth Handsfree

Featured Replies

Hi

I'd thought I share this just incase anyone want to do the same.

I've got a VRS FL when it first came out and was a bit annoyed that the Bluetooth hands free only works on RSAP capable phones. Thankfully this was not too much of a problem but in the future, I'm looking at phones that don't do RSAP out the box. A colleague of mine, sent me this link for an updated version of the Bluetooth kit in all VAGs which he recently installed:

The only difference between the two:

1. My original part number ended with B and the new one with a D,

2. Bluetooth to any phone now works,

3. Bluetooth Audio now works so I can now have my wife iPod Touch connected or my phone connected via bluetooth without the stupid Audio cable,

No reprogram was needed as all I did was a straight swap of the unit located under the driver seat. If you want to add this to your car which did not have the hands free, the kit comes complete with the cables.

At £230 +P&P, its not cheap but I would rather spend that then get those in-ear hands free devices which I hate so much.
