Are they any good and is it a comprehensive radar detector? Ive been offered a nearly new one for

I've got the S6R and it's a full system and great. Not sure how it compares to the S5R - sorry.

I have had one for 2 years thay give you about 200 yard on gatsos and work well at detecting Laser althow thats always 50/50 if thay have a lock on you

I runit in conjuction with an ipac GPSsatnav(TomTom) with a camera databace free updates from the Web

Thanks, are the gatsos the static ones with the white lines on the road?

Please bear in mind all laser detectors are to be made illegal to own and use in this years transport bill. I think this is why there are so many "bargins" to be had, they need to get rid of them.

It is alledged, and I say alledged, that only GPS based unit will be legal, although the bill has no mention of this.

Ive noticed 2 things.

1. It doesnt alert you when you come to a traffice light camera-is this because it is not turned on or it only emits radar when the line is crossed.

2. It alerts you when you drive near automatic doors, is this frequent?
