please can someone help, the cd player in our vrs has decided to go doolally, ive had the cover off and when you select cd it scans fine moves up and down checking all the cds then goes to track 1 and stops, ive even bought a new cd unit but that does exactly the same, yet when i connect it to my passat it works straight away, all the connections in the rs look fine and the headunit powers up fine but doesnt get past "cd1"

anyone got any ideas?

Are you running a CD changer with the head unit separate?

yeah should have said that - just the standard vrs one

is that a 4 youve got?
