Beat 175 Head Unit

Featured Replies

Has anyone any experience of this unit:

There's a couple of user reviews on the web which are quite positive (it is only about £40) but I was wondering if the SD card slot reads SDHC (Like a 16Gb) and also how the MP3/WMAs need to be arranged.

(I'm hoping its directory structure is similar to the way the Bolero works on my Octy)

I have RTFM, which you can find on the Web but it doesn't really answer my qs.

If anyone has one would much appreciate the benefit of your experience

(Its not to replace the Bolero by the way!)

Just In case anyone's searching I got this unit in the post, obviously not top quality but it works (well it does after a lot o f@rting about with the felicia aerial lead, which had had a cheap din plug fitted on the end in the past)

I got a din adaptor for the other wires off ebay for a few quid which made fitting a doddle.

It will read a 32Gb SDHC card, but just seems to play the tracks in the order they are on there without allowing you to select by artist or album.

The folder structure on the I used card is ARTIST-->ALBUM--->TRACK. It does play WMAs.

Its displays the individual track name but not artist or album.

Sound through the 12 year OEM Felicia speakers seems fairly good!

All in all for £40 I've no complaints.
