Faulty door mechanism

HI,

Whenever I move to open and close the driver side door the locking mechanism sounds as if it activates. I don't have to fully shut the door for it to sound as if it is operating. This is only happening with the driver side door. It only seems to be affecting the opening and closing of the boot door.

Does anyone know what could be causing this? Is it a central locking issue? Faulty wire?

If any more information would help please let me know and I can find it out for you.
