Airbag light on

Featured Replies

Got the common problem of the airbag light on, the car is 4 years old. Garage said it was probably just the connection so they cleaned it, read the codes and cleared them, FOC. It came on again, they re-read the codes and now advise changing the side airbag igniter based on the codes. This is an expensive option. I seem to recall someone saying on this forum, or another, that their problem was solved by replacing the battery as the Airbags are the first system to suffer when a battery is on the way out and it detects a low voltage. Anyone any knowledge or experience of this problem/solution?

There was another issue with the connectors under the seat. Mine was replaced under warranty, happened after the seat was moved.
