Hi I have taken my 2009 reg Skoda Octavia 3 times due to soft brake pedal-Car has done 20,352 miles -dealer bled brakes twice -there tester agreed that brakes were not right-I suggested front pads but was told that they were ok-Last Thursday they rang to say that Skoda would check the complete system under warranty and FOC. Took car in today-New Pads and front discs and a charge of £238.42 -Rang the service manager unavailable. Rang Skoda Service no reply.

I have had company cars from the VW group that have done 56,000 miles with no probklems-Auto Express rank Skoda Octavia 4th in there survey and brakes 7th inthere list.

New Discs and brake pads at 20,352 mile is this the norm??

20k miles isn't bad from pads, but for discs to also need chan ging would suggest not being run in properly.

£238 is quite steep for front pads & discs -
