evening all. did try to get some answers in the fabia 2 forum but might be more suited to this forum. looking to install either a usb socket or a multi socket with usb in the glove box as the current location is absolutly in the most stupid location. tried to remove the cigerette lighter and cant seem to figure out how to extract it without using excessve force. want to get to the cables supplying it so i can replace it with a mirco switch and then reroute a suitable cable to the glove box and install something in the glove box to power the sat nav and i only have a foot or so of cable going to it and i charge the phone as well. any help would be appreciated. also does anyone know/recommend someone in the south wales area who can do some VCDS coding for me as the double click to unlock is starting to get on my t**ts. thanks for your help

How about finding a spare switched live from the fuse panel, and running it from there?

On the VCDS issue, put a request in the VCDS section or have a look at the Members list sticky in that section and find someone nearby.

it takes force to remove it. a switched live is easier to find and use. - No 19 on my Octy.

Thanks for your reply. Will check out the fuse box tomorrow after work. I'm a spark by trade so probably go down that road
