Anyone have a haynes manual?

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

I really hope that someone out there can help me, basically I am living in Germany and have my right hand drive vrs with me. So I had it tracked and its been a disaster, the noise from the wheels is unreal, the garage that took it to be tracked said that the tire place couldn't get the tolerances for an english car and has now gone out of business.

So I am looking for the tolerances for tracking, I'm not sure if they are in the Haynes but my astra Haynes manual has them in!

Can anyone help me!

Just a little info I've just put 2 new shocks in, lower ball joint and all looks in good shape, and my last tire was wrecked from the inside. So in my opinion everything is pointing to tracking - what you think?

James

My Haynes manual just states that "checking and adjusting the front camber angle should be entrusted to a Skoda dealer or other suitably equipped specialist".

Not much help I'm afraid

Found this on here, anyone know what the squares mean?

Front sports suspension

Toe for 17" wheels (RS only) ... 0 1.3mm (0.6mm/0.6mm)

Camber ... -33' 30' (1+/45'+)

Caster angle ... 7 50' 30' (8 30'/8 45')

Rear sports suspension

Toe for 16" wheels (17" not quoted) ... 3.0 1.2mm (1.75mm/1.75mm)

Camber ... -1 27' 10' (-1 40'/-1 10')

Thanks for checking!

They are listed in Chapter 10 on page 2 in the Haynes manual.

It looks like your have got them though, the ones you state match the sports suspension listed.

The squares are degrees.

Perfect!!!!!!!! Thanks a million for the reply's! Lets hope it works.

Surly the tracking will be same no matter what side steering wheels on,

If it trashing inside edges then i would suspect its towing out to much and needs pulling in
