A3 or Mk5 interior in an Octavia

Featured Replies

From what I can gather the front seats from a Mk5 or A3 8P should be a straight swap (correct?), but I'm wondering about the back seats.

Will the rear bench and back rest from a 5 door Golf or A3 fit an Octavia hatch, or is that swap not as straight forward as the front?

Rear isn't as straight forward. The bolsters above the wheel arches are different.

What's involved in making it work, or is it just a case of leaving the original bolsters on?

Audi A3 ones definitely won't work (inc sportback). Mk5 golf 3 door ones definitely won't work. You've got me wondering about 5 door golf ones though.

Possibly the mk6 golf estate (don't think there is a sporty one out yet though) or passat bolsters or rear bench can be used or stick with the vrs bolsters and change the rest. Should work

The 5 door Golf doesn't have bolsters, its more of a plastic trim, just compared the 2 seats and although at first glance they seem the same I think it would be a lot of work as Nick says.

Jetta ones might fit ok?

Why would you want A3/Golf seats?

Why would you want A3/Golf seats?

Indeed, I would try and source a nice vRS leather interior.....

Cheers for the replies folks. I wouldn't fancy attempting something that wasn't a certainty. It was just a notion as I hoped they'd all be the same.

An A3 S-Line interior is far more readily available than a VRS interior, never mind a leather one.

Would a Jetta not just be the same as the Golf?
