Tomorrow I will be parting with my beloved octavia vrs and buying a Fabia monte Carlo 1.2 tsi 105 in White. I have owned the vrs for just a year and have loved every minute of it, but due to starting a new business I need some extra cash so have managed to exchange my vrs for the monte with 4000 mile on the clock plus £3700 cash in my pocket.

I will miss it very much and hope I will enjoy the fabia and not miss the power and all the toys too much. If anyone has got a monte 1.2 tsi 105 please can you give me some great reviews as I am not really looking forward to tomorrow . I must say I have had 2 vrs octavia's now a petrol TFSI and my current 170 cr and they have both been great bar the sawtoothin rear tryes and I will miss not owning one but hopefully will love my new little buzz box, so good bye for now and I will always be keeping up with this forum and wish you all the best.

I drove a Monte 1.2 TSI for a couple of days whilst my Octavia was having a service and a few other bits done. I was really impressed with it and I thought it looked really smart too. Personally I would love to buy one for er'indoors but she is still a massive badge-snob and wants an Audi A1 !

I have been driving the Monte all day now and yes I love it, the engine is amazing for a 1.2 and sounds fantastic and the handing is very good but not so planted as the octavia vrs.

If I had one complaint the steering is a bit to light making the car a bit edgy on the the twisty bits, but overall I am very pleased and surprised a fabia Montie Carlo is this good and it looks stunning in white. I will still miss my vrs very much but at least I now have a new enjoyable toy, thanks for your replies now going for another spin in the dark and try the lights out.
