After a boost gauge for the Vrs but what sort do I need.

Featured Replies

As above, I'm after a boost gauge for the Vrs to keep an eye on the turbo. I know there are different types Psi/Bar some have Vac so which one do i need, or which one you have?

If not mapped, one that goes to 1.5 bar will be fine. If remapped, you'll want one that goes to 2 bar. Everything else is down to preference. Some like PSI, I like bars personally. Some like digital readouts, I prefer a needle sweep.

how hard are they to fit? estimated cost?

There is gauges on ebay with fitting kit for £40 last time I looked iirc. Then you just need a suitable mount for it.

That answers most of my questions  ! The only one I have is will a gauge with Vac work as diesels don't dave any back pressure as i understand?

it'll work, it just wont go below 0 like it would on a petrol

Thanks!

This is my arrangement. The boost gauge is on the left. I went for a 2.5 bar one and I still nearly max this one out.... Nothing more fun on acceleration to "redline" the boost needle.
