Exhaust on Felicia

Featured Replies

Hi all.

My felicia estate is starting fall apart, well the exhaust is anyway. Looking underneath it has a lot of patches all over the place. Tried filling a hole with gum gum but still there is a bit of noise coming from her. Couple of questions, how much would it cost to replace the whole system from the cat backwards, can I do it myself?? Only have a jack so cant really get underneath her. Any advise would be grateful.

I just had the back box done on mine for less than £40 fitted. This was a hatch though

To replace the exhaust you need to get the car up pretty high, if you only have a jack then that a recipe for a disaster to be honest, i would normally tell anybody to have a go themselves but in you case you might be better off getting an exhaust shop to fit a system for you. Some of the smaller independent garages will offer free fitting on exhausts because they make a bit of money on tqhe markup on the parts..

I would have said you should be able to get it fully fitted for around £120 for a full system from the cat back, but it depends on what brand of exhaust components you get quoted for.. I used a bosal system on mine and the fit is always very good on those, some of the cheaper brands don't fit particularly well and need a bit of persuasion to get the joints to mate properly..
