This is my first message here. French, living in Germany I have an Octavia combi 1.9Tdi from 2005 for about 2 months.

And, I am very happy to have found this site!

About a month ago a noise (vibration) was coming out of somewhere behind the passenger box. It was there for a few second, almost each time after starting the car, even with engine still off. I knew it was electrical but I couldn't find the reason until a few days ago.

It comes from the air valve (not sure if valve is the right word). The valve that switches between the outer incoming air (for the ventilation) or the inner air for closed air circulation.

The noise also happens when I switch between 2 position (either way), right after the new position has been reached.

Sometime the noise doesn't happen.

And some other time, when I drive there is an other noise coming from the same place (I think) it is more like a "Clik Clik" sound, much less loud than the first one.

Now that I know where it comes from, I would like to fix it.

Does any one of you had this problem?

Do you have some advise on how top fix it.

Should I change something ? Clean something?

What precaution should I take regarding the airbags ? As I will have to remove the "passenger box" to access this thing.
