Yes it will fit as they are the same pipes. Both cars share the same engine hook up points and floor pan.

Only difference is the back box

I take it the same goes for the A3 and Leon?

If i bought a golf exhaust are all the hanger points the same?

Correct you will be ok up to the rear beam hanger. The back box on the Octy is longer and therefore the rear hanger is in slightly different place.

Actually they do fit just because your garage can't handle a bit of messing about or can not seem to work out how to get it fitting(where most garages I know would treat it as a walk in the park)does not mean it won't fit. If you are expecting them to fit a std cat back system they won't without the previous mentioned actions.

However and i can appreciate where you are coming from on a good note, this is the add you bought right.

yeah thats the add hes now saying its for the 1.8t 20v but will not fit the vrs ( nothing like this on the listing though )

the only place i could get it fitted was just a normal tyre and exhaust centre

who normaly dont do them but had a go as he knows me as a regular

tried around 8 other places including a couple who makes there own exhausts and pipes wouldnt do it as they only fit there own items

and none of the others would do it neither

my own fault realy just read the listing and thought it would fit right on
