Faulty Columbus RNS-510

Featured Replies

Anyone help please? I have a Superb elegance mk2 I bought new 13th Octobr 2008 milage now 101,500 miles, I had the first Columbus RNS-510 Sat Nav Navigation replace under warranty (just keeps turn itself on and off) now the replace is just the same. Skoda don`t want to know. Anyone know where I can get it repaired THANKS Geoff Manchester

Isn't it under warranty?

Either you or I misunderstand what jrw is asking. I take it that jrw is asking is if the columbus is under warranty.

When did you have it replaced as surely it should have some warranty with it?

Otherwise, as it's a recurring problem perhaps the issue lies elsewhere in the car and that again should be covered from the date of latest correction of said issue.

Actually interesting point there. Are parts that are not linked to the mechanics of the car (ie radio, speakers, electic mirrors) under the same warranty term as the rest of the car?

For instance, your Colombus, is it also covered under 60,000 miles warranty? It isn't a mechanical part, bears virtually no relations to the miles (although you may use it more due to the miles, but really?).

Ask them whether your electric mirrors are also out of warranty, because this is absurd.
