is the dent meant to be there or is it damaged

which one was it? the one that finished at 0930 ish in the morning? I was after it, went for £41 due to time it ended but I fell asleep, DOH

one in the morning from 2fast2cool2 went for over 90 lol that same evening.

yeah that was the one £90.07 i think i got it for

finished at 7.50pm or 8.50pm i think

I have the same 2 piece decat (although they are all made be TOYOSPORTS) i think.

Yes the bolts tightening is a little difficult and you need to equally tighten them down to make life easier. I have pics and a DIY install if folks need it.

But that dent is not meant to be there.

Return that exhaust back....

have emailed the seller no reply yet

as few other sellers on ebay and they say not meant to be there

hard to think could have got damaged in transit would have needed to be a good whack

I see what you are saying Billy, as having fitted one just like it(without the dent) is a right pain as getting the nut on the turbo manifold is very fiddly but not impossible.

That size dent to me though would interfear with exhaust flow and seem quite a dent just to let more access to the turbo stud/nut on manifold. Could it be yours was dented too?? bit coincidental I agree...

looking at the pic makes it worse tho, its not really a dent, its been pressed in by a chisel like end 1-2" wide. and that one is in the same location to mine. Its not in that far and might upset flow ever so slightly but tbh still plenty big enough as its 3".

Sertain sellers must of put it in to make it easier as buyers might of complained they couldnt get the nut on?

Your one Mark just has a Toyosport plaque spotted on. Prob all made by same person just different sellers slightly adjust the item to suite?

maybe the seller who i got it from does this btefore sending them out then to make it easier to fit

although nothing was said in the listing waiting for a reply from them

at the least i will try and get some sort of refund

That is what I did....

And I heat wrapped mine which made it even harder to fit.

Intersting as mine is a TOYOSPORTS one with no dent??

go figure....

Why don't you call TOYOSPORTS on Tues and check whether some had this dent from new, and if not, whether they consider it to be an issue with flow or longevity?

This should also give you either a) peace of mind or the evidence to file a claim.

have been offered a partial refund of £25 by the seller

so guess its not meant to be there or the seller doesnt realy know

will it effect the use of the decat

if not will except the part refund as looks like some are sold like this

tis up to you mate, but Ide take it. I wouldnt say youll notice any difference really as its minor.

youll find they are getting them for 40 notes or so so they not too bothered. you might be the first to ask them?

personally Ide take it and fit it. but then I have seen other ones like it and had one on the car so thats why I thought it was normal but end of its up to you what you feel better with.
