JVC HU into a Fabia VRS

Featured Replies

Hi

Pick up me fabia on Saturday and first thing I want to do is fit my JVC SHX701 from my previous car. Ive done lot of searching and basically read I need to swap the red and yellow wires which I have done but the thing that is really confusing is this aerial booster jobby. Do I need one and if so which wire do I connect to my unit has a female aerial terminal but no blue/white wire? as mentioned on some pioneer threads. Any ideas? :D

Cheers

Rich

Hi Yeah got the part number for that. I think from reading a few more posts that the booster connects to the remote lead? Is this the steering remote control by any chance?

If you add a booster (you can just about get away without it if you only listen to FM) then you'll need to "power" it. On pioneer head units, it's a blue/white wire which needs to go to the power feed of the booster (wire may be a different colour)

You may need an aerial adapter too.
