Blauplunkt DXR-52 Problem Please help

Featured Replies

I cant understand what's going wrong. i have the blauplunkt DXR-52 sat nav system in my car but once i have typed in the destination i wish to go, and it calculates the route to take, it always displays the car as been of road out side the digitised map area, and even when driving through the town centre and re calculate the route it never recognises were i am?? Any thoughts

IS the route correct? i.e it shows a route from the correct starting point?

Just a wild guess but do you definitely have a GPS signal ?

i havnt got the manual but im typing the route in from where ever i am then it calculates it but then just says im off road. how would i know if there is a signal? there is a little picture of a satalite dish

If you have the picture of the satellite displayed you receive at least one satellite. You did do go through the initial setup? Also, it may be that it is still in a 'cold' start. Run the radio for a while with the satellite navigation on to get the HU to download the data from the sats. I've got a DXR52 as well, and it is only very occasionally that it tells me that I'm not on a digitised map.

This happened with mine this morning, I was in Bournemouth, I started the sat nav, immediately it put my location 200miles off the coast of Scotland in the North Sea!!!! It stayed like that for 3 hours before finding it's feet and re-aligning itself. Snoopy I have the Sat Nav manual, I'll send it to you if you promise to return it at some point, it's not as if I read it everyday :) mail me if you'd like. [email protected]

thanks for the offer of the manual but the dealer is fitting a brand new one in shortly. They recon there was a falt with it? so should come with all the bits intact. Thanks again
